    Very good

the hotel is lovely and friendly clean with a mixture of old and new. great loction

could not get any sleep because for some reason they have installed smoke alarms above the bed which flash a red light every 30 seconds. when you know its there you cant help but look at it all night.

We loved the hotel from the minute that we walked in. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. The receptionist was welcoming and booked us in quickly. The concierge was helpful in taking photographs. The suit that we had was enormous and very clean. Excellent!!! Breakfast was tasty, busy bit well organised. Every was smiling - even the musicians in the breakfast room!! It's hard to say what we liked BEST, it was ALL good!!

    Nothing at all!!!

    Superb

The room was very warm and clean. Their was more than 1 cup of tea or coffie per guest left in room per day rather than 1 left in most hotels.its them little things that means the most.it was very quiet through night and the curtains let in no light so we both had a good sleep. Booking again for easter.

From the moment of arrival the welcome from all the staff was outstanding.Room was vey very tastefully decorated comfortable and clean. The hotel grounds and gardens were just beautiful and the decor of hotel itself had a wonderful traditional feel and lots of character. Breakfast on sunday morning was excellent greeted with bucks fizz and accompanied by live singers in the restaurant was very impressive. Food was outstanding too all you could want for and lots of choice. A totally enjoyable stay in a first class hotel all round, excellent!!

Bathroom was very modern and clean but the fittings are not very practical. Also the shower was very weak...maybe because our room was on a high floor.

We were most pleased at been upgraded to a suite. The staff were most frindly and helpful

The upgraded suite is above the function room. Loud discos on the Friday and Saturday nights untill 1.00am Needed to be up early Saturday morning for a 13 hour rail excursion!

    Very good

Family room was large and comfortable with double and 2 single beds and large bathroom connected by lobby. Didn't hear a train despite location.Free bar from 5 to 7pm was a bonus. Excellent breakfast.Walk into city took about 10 mins but got the free bus next morning as it was raining. Parking £10 but secure and able to leave car in it next day.

Room was on top floor. Tiny lift and narrow stairs.Didn't eat evening meal in hotel as no information or advertising prices etc.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by their extremely friendly front of house staff, which straight away gave the sense of ease for the start of our break. Throughout the weekend the staff went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. I had organised a weekend stay for my sister’s hen doo for 23 ladies and gents and with the help from the conference staff was able to organise special events that included – afternoon tea, meals, drinks and suggestion for places for us to visit. The hotel its self was very beautifully furnished and the interior was exemplar the perfect setting for our weekend. All 23 ladies and gents had a wonderful weekend.

    Superb

Olod fashioned railway hotel with a late of Edwardian charm. Massive room at modest cost. Whole staff making an effort for guests. I asked for a quiet room-and received one.

Situated at the seedier end of Chester, 10 min walk to the centre.

The hotel was great, my partner & I had a wonderfull few days and the breakfast was wonderfull. We would like to stay again and I would advise other people to go to your hotel. It has been the best hotel that we have stayed in.

The only thing I did not like about the hotel is the parking charges and when I booked on line it did not mention the cost until I had confirmed the booking.

Very helpful and nice staff. Especially at the front desk (think his name was Mark?) We went to the restaurant there and it was fantastic, the pianist was a nice addition. Again the staff were great. For some reason beyond me a group of guests started making a fuss about something not to their liking, unfortunately this happened directly in front of where we were sitting, however i can say the staff acted professionally and diffused the situation quickly. We were then given a complementary glass of sparkly wine for the commotion which I didn't think was necessary but I am not turning that down! I really enjoyed my time at the queen hotel and so did my girlfriend. Thanks to everyone involved

Did not enjoy having to pay for the car park but then again who likes paying for anything. Found it annoying that when i was given my code to exit the car park I had 120 mins from 9:33, we checked out at 10:45 so I had to run around Chester like a lunatic to buy shoes in time. I did get some though and they are really nice so all ends well.
